TEACHER RECOMMENDATION:
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Rowan Hamilton. Rowan is a student in one of my tenth-grade Regents Global Literature English classes this school year. Regents Global Literature includes the works of both classic and contemporary writers, where students read several works of literature, craft various polished pieces of writing, research complex topics, and present findings verbally and using digital media. Independent as well as collaborative work are integral parts of the course, encouraging students to become more self-directed as the year progresses. In this capacity, I have come to know Rowan well and can confidently speak of her talents, strengths, and abilities at this point in the year. Rowan is a diligent and conscientious young woman who puts her all into everything she does. She works well independently, but she can collaborate expertly with peers and delegate tasks when needed. She feels confident asking questions for clarification and is willing to seek needed information, even on her own time. Her consistency and dedication are evident in all tasks she completes. Rowan is consistently thoughtful and respectful, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere wherever she goes. It is a pleasure to teach Rowan, and I am grateful to have her as a student.
